Samen met mijn favoriete broer nemen we een kijkje achter de schermen bij het internationale bouwproject dat te Swifterbant gerealiseerd word.

Dit hebben we met niets minder gedaan dan met de nieuwste technieken, en hoe laat je dit aan je vrienden zien? De foto’s die uit het apparaat rollen zijn “equirectangular” of in het nederlands: “afstandsgetrouwe cilinderprojectie“.

Aan deze afbeeldingen heb je in eerste instantie helemaal niks, tenzij je gek bent op sterk vervormde dubbelgevouwen beelden. Maar stop je ze in de juiste software, die het beeld om een bol vouwen, dan krijg je opeens een levensecht en natuurgetrouwe weergave van de situatie! Alsof je er weer opnieuw bent!

Ik heb er voor gekozen om ze op deze manier te delen, als het goed is moet het ook op een smartphone of tablet te bekijken zijn. Voel je vrij om ze met vrienden en familie te delen en mocht het gebeuren dat ze niet goed laden; laat het me weten in de commentaar sectie hier beneden, op Facebook of instagram, via twitter of met een mailtje!

My favorite brother and I take a look behind the scenes of the international constructionproject currently happening at Swifterbant.

We use nothing less than state of the art equipment, but how does one show the results with one’s friends? The resulting pictures are “equirectangular” and are in the first place quite useless. Unless you’re into weird and distorted images. But dump these pictures ino the right software and you’ll encounter a vivid and real replica of where you ( or I in most cases ) have been! It’s as if you can revisit your memory!

I chose to share these pictures through this website because I believe it would enable you to watch it also on your smartphones or tablets. Without the need of a desk or laptop class device with proper software installed. Feel free to show these pictures to your friends and family and if the images don’t load on one page please let me know in the comment section down here, on Facebook or instagram, through twitter or mail me!
